Vetdle
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 July 2026
This policy explains the personal information Vetdle collects and how it is used. You can play without creating an account.
Public Leaderboard Notice
Public by default: leaderboard visibility for registered accounts is public by default. Your public profile may show your username or display name, country, self-reported veterinary role, level, XP, completion time, clues used, and gameplay statistics. Your email address, account ID, and individual diagnosis entries are not public.
You can opt out at any time by turning off Show me on leaderboards in Account Settings. Vetdle will then remove your published leaderboard information.
Completed guest solves may appear on today's leaderboard under a daily pseudonym such as Guest KQF. Vetdle does not show a guest's email, account ID, diagnoses, or inferred country on the leaderboard.
Information We Collect
- Account and profile information, such as your email, username or display name, country, self-reported role, avatar, settings, and sign-in information when you create an account.
- Gameplay information, such as diagnoses submitted, clues requested, results, time played, saved progress, streaks, statistics, XP, and level.
- Technical information, such as a random gameplay identifier, IP address, approximate country, browser or device type, pages viewed, and performance or security events.
- Information you choose to send through support or feedback, such as your contact details, message, case number, or screenshots.
Creating an account is optional. If you do not provide the required account details, you can still play as a guest but cannot use account-only features such as cross-device progress, XP, profiles, or the all-time leaderboard. A completed guest solve may appear pseudonymously on today's leaderboard.
How We Use and Share Information
Vetdle uses this information to run and secure the game, manage accounts, save and synchronise progress, calculate results and statistics, publish eligible leaderboard information, prevent misuse, improve performance and cases, send account-related messages, and respond to support or legal requests.
Information is shared only with service providers that help operate Vetdle, when you make it public through the leaderboard, or when disclosure is reasonably necessary for law, safety, security, or preventing misuse. Vetdle does not sell personal information.
Cookies and Optional Services
Vetdle uses cookies and browser storage for sign-in, gameplay, saved progress, preferences, consent choices, and security. Optional analytics and advertising are used only when you allow the relevant category in Cookie settings. Blocking or clearing site data may sign you out or remove progress and preferences stored only on that browser. Vetdle does not request precise GPS location.
If you allow advertising, advertising providers including Google may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and device information to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads based on visits to this and other sites. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services or manage personalised ads in Google Ad Settings.
Security and Retention
Vetdle uses reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Account information and connected progress are generally kept while your account is active. Pseudonymous daily results may be kept for up to 13 months, and public daily leaderboard rows for up to 90 days. Other information is kept only while reasonably needed to operate and protect Vetdle or meet legal obligations. Deleting your account removes connected profile, progress, XP, and leaderboard data from active systems; pseudonymous daily statistics that are not linked to your account follow the retention period above, and limited logs or backup copies may remain temporarily for security, legal, or recovery needs.
Your Choices and Privacy Rights
In Account Settings, you can update your profile, opt out of leaderboards, or permanently delete your account. Clearing browser data removes information stored only on that browser. You may also ask for access to or correction of personal information Vetdle holds about you.
To make a request or raise a privacy concern, contact support@vetdle.com. Other privacy rights may apply under the law where you live.
Children, Changes, and Contact
Vetdle is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 must not create an account. This policy may be updated as Vetdle changes; the latest version and date will be posted here. Privacy questions can be sent to support@vetdle.com.
